Suzy and Hondo School of Dance regularly work with nationally recognized ballroom dance instructor, judge and examiner Scott Anderson for DVIDA Medal Exams. DVIDA (Dance Vision International Dance Association, of Las Vegas, NV.) works with independent ballroom dance studios around the world providing a fun and exciting way for students to progress through the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels of ballroom dancing.

As a representative of DVIDA Scott travels to Bemidji to work at Suzy and Hondo School of Dance observing, grading and providing feedback to dancers who are participating in the Medal Exams. Scott’s feedback includes written and instructional input for progressing further in to your dancing skills.

Participants dance with their instructor performing patterns from their level of ability and from their personal dance program.   Scott will observe as students successfully perform their pattern routines. Upon completion students will achieve a Certificate of Achievement from DVIDA – tangible proof that they have achieved a national standard of excellence for their level of dancing.

The DVIDA Medal program provides clear goals to focus your dance education and will help you get more value out of private lessons. Students who are studying for Medal exams learn faster and dance with more technique than students who take lessons for social dancing only. The Medal program measures student’s progress through the 22 American and International curriculum ballroom dance styles

Finally, the sense of accomplishment dancers will feel after successfully passing their exams will boost confidence and inspire to learn more and more.
